So Honey asked me a question last night and I said yes

Yes!!! Exactly that, I’m frustrated that I can’t do everything 😅

I’m okay! Most of my pain is better, I’ve had good days and bad days but I was back at work this week, just have to take it easy and make sure I don’t keep my abdomen tensed up so I’m trying to remind myself to take stretch breaks and be ~kind to myself because that 2 week healing time is BS 😂

Also I’m super fucking bored. Bed rest is torture 🫠

I’ve almost finished a craft and I don’t want to watch anything anymore.

I’m half way through Dune and it’s overdue at the library but reading feels too hard

And it’s not really pain, it just feels like my scrambled insides are trying to leave out of said holes.

I’m told feeling your insides in such detail is an autism thing

So on the surgery front I am in less pain as long as I don’t move. Also woke up with a giant bruise under my belly button that I’m pretty sure wasn’t there yesterday. It’s the length of my hand.

It’s fine though. Most if the pain is on my side, where the gallbladder was and the two holes are made.

My gallbladder decided to make stones. Hospital visit in may, keyhole surgery last Thursday.

I made a fool of myself while high on fentanyl and now my most important goals in this week are to not eat bad food and to poop on occasion 😂

Nothing like a little surgery to change your perspective on life.

Suddenly meetings and customers seem less important than being comfortable and eating right and hydrating

I’m non binary in the way that I wish my bits were exchangeable. Like a mr potato head but for the titty/groin region.

Today I want to have penis, today I’d like small boobs, you know?

Apparently not everyone thinks that way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also do gay men just not do laundry and survive on take out? Are the moms doing the work like it’s probs expected of single straight cis men? Im so confused.

Honey got half way through this and literally dropped her chippies in shock 😂

Also like, why are those all women’s jobs? Can a man not budget? Or turn on a washing machine? Drive the kids to school?

Some days you offer hugs and tissues and some days you get yelled at and coughed on

I know pharmacy isn’t as high risk as an ER, but some days it’s boring old colds and flus and heart meds and some days it’s a chick who’s self harmed and just wants butterfly strips, and a guy who has cellulitis in his entire lower leg you know.

We do this because it’s in our DNA.

Also I love the contrast of standing on the roof, and not jumping.

Idk how to explain but it’s like, every day you go to work, you’re taking a risk, and by some grace of god, you don’t jump, you survive, and you go home. And tomorrow you do it again.

I have so much appreciation for The Pitt. No one has really captured the trauma of working in healthcare, of surviving working healthcare through covid, and coming back again and again. because it is about wanting to help, despite the assholes, the ugliness of humanity, and the unfairness of life.

Well. She’s just developed an allergy to beans. So now she’s gonna be Honeybean 😆
