I am so sad that our elder, 73 year old Delroy Lindo, who was born in the UK but had to leave because he couldnβt get work as an actor, whose parents were Windrushees, who performed incredibly but wasnβt nominated for a BAFTA, is apparently not owed the dignity and care of solidarity and sympathy

A whiteboard leaned against a shelf with many trinkets. On the whiteboard, it says βWhen you look at a blank page, think of who you loveβ
In his acceptance speech for award for best screenplay, Ryan Coogler said βwhen you look at a blank page, think of who you loveβ and I dunno, that really moved me so I wrote it down and sat it on my desk to look at while I work

Our new (since 2024) landlord is nice enough, but it was so much better for some things to have the person who owns the building living right next door.

Quite frustrating that all the apartment building parking lots I can see out my back window are plowed but ours is not touched, though. Nor is our sidewalk shoveled.

Well, I don't have to worry about getting to my doctor's appointment today, because their office is closed! They were able to get me a new appointment for right after I come back from being out of town next week, so that's not too bad.

So much nicer than the last snowstorm when the snow was almost immediately covered with a crust of ice!

Basically the same angle as the first photo from the previous post, several hours later. A metal staircase with an accumulation of snow, the steps leading down to a back yard on the left of the frame and stairs and the railing leading up to the next floor taking up most of the right side of the frame. There are about three and a half inches of accumulated snow on the railing itself. The entire ground is totally blanketed in snow. On the right of the frame, visible behind the staircase, there's a cluster of trees lit by an exterior house light, branches covered in a lot more snow that three hours ago. It looks very fluffy. A building is barely visible past the tree.
And three more hours later. I measured, and there's about 3.5" on the railing, though IDK if that's accurate to what's on the ground itself. It's all very fluffy.

A metal staircase with an accumulation of snow leading down to a back yard. The entire area is totally blanketed in snow so no features of the ground are visible. On the right of the frame, there's a cluster of trees lit by an exterior house light, branches covered in snow. A building is barely visible past the tree.
Another view out the same door. The metal railing is barely visible on the bottom right. Large shrubs blanketed with snow separate the yard from the neighbor's driveway where two cars and a large, three-car garage building are visible just behind, all with a coating of snow. In the background is another large house with some lit windows and multiple tall trees. It's actively snowing.
About four and a half hours later. I will admit it does look very pretty.

Oh also, I definitely will have to wake up early if I want to reschedule, since they don't have schedulers on the weekend and I'd want to do it as early as possible. Fingers crossed I can go tomorrow, but I'm strongly betting on no.

Plus, I have to call to reschedule, since I'm not seeing my usual doctor, just another woman in her practice, and if I want to reschedule on MyChart I can only do it with the person I'm seeing tomorrow, whose next availability is April 7th.

Really not pleased we're getting all this snow when I finally have my doctor's appointment tomorrow. I super don't want to cancel it, but IDK if it'll still be snowing or if my landlord will have even plowed.

STATEMENT FROM LUCIANA DUVALL
Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.
To the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller. To me, he was simply everything. His passion for his craft was matched only by his deep love for characters, a great meal, and holding court. For each of his many roles, Bob gave everything to his characters and to the truth of the human spirit they represented. In doing so, he leaves something lasting and unforgettable to us all. Thank you for the years of support you showed Bob and for giving us this time and privacy to celebrate the memories he leaves behind.
Robert Duvall, the legendary actor whose career has spanned over six decades, has died at 95, his wife announced

I've had extremely good luck with Knit Picks Brava. It obviously isn't available in stores, but it knits up really nicely with no splitting. Not my experience with every acrylic I've used for sure.

A giant loss: Robert Duvall is gone. An extraordinary artist who was fluent in every dialect of film acting, from ice-cold underplayer (The Godfather) to expert naturalist (Tender Mercies, The Apostle) to balls-to-the-wall maniac (Apocalypse Now). One of our all-timers. Plunge into that filmography.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that a Jersey dude so horrified that he went to his first protest and is trying not to cry on camera has a pretty good chance of staying radicalized. And that while Bluesky loves to pick apart things like this, this kinda video moves the needle for OTHER dudes.

Itβs the absolute tiniest credit he has but we once asked him to record a tiny little joke for us about a fake podcast he hosted with John, and he was not only game and charming, and not only acted the shit out of it, he came up with the tag at the end. (At 3:30)
