transphobic bigots opposed it.

Transphobes use “women’s rights” as a cover for transphobia. They don’t care about women’s rights.

-Bridget Phillipson (women and equalities minister)
-Rosie Duffield (top feminist and woman defender)

THE PAPERS February stats There were 79 different bylines on articles about trans people in the month of February. Between them, they wrote 99 articles, only nine of which you could reasonably argue were ‘neutral’, even though they aren’t really. That’s an average of 3.5 a day. Between them, Daniel Sanderson, Hayley Dixon and Sanchez Manning wrote 11 articles. There was not one single day in February without an article about trans people.

It’s so exhausting. The amazing @hleehurley.substack.com tracks media reporting on trans issues the UK. His data really highlight how the mainstream press are constantly banging on about trans folk. For example, in February there were NINETY-NINE articles about trans people—an average of 3.5 a day.

I don't want to hear any more mumbling queers performatively distancing themselves from the thing they are demanding my attention for, while taking yet more of my time to do the performative distancing!

nerdy audio engineering hot tip: I don't know if I've ever seen omni dynamic reporter mics used in any studio I've been in but I am very impressed trying them today on amps, acoustic instruments, vocals... feel ideal for someone like me who loves bleed and hates proximity effect

This is why "born this way" doesn't really work. The difference between Silent and X can be explained by more openness about coming out. Between X and Z? That's more queers being MADE by a sex/gender system that's changing along with lots of other systems.
