Different ISPs use different DNS servers. My domain name should work worldwide, unless it's deliberately blocked nationwide or at a workplace, or some DNS server has goofed up. Sometimes the site truly goes down cuz of scrapers as I haven't set up anubis.
No, but it could be your local DNS (web address resolver). I had some trouble with my site being out of reach using just my ISP's DNS, so I had to add a few DNSes manually.

22.01.2026 18:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If you completely mirror a right handed human on a cellular and neural level, do they become left handed? Maybe they'd just break because of some molecular handedness thing.
Anyways, just a random thought.
Lakers II has some excellent armour designs if you haven't looked into it yet.
15.01.2026 21:41 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For this reason, recently I've been feeling that I was interested in writing rather than game design all along. The breadth, and ease of it, is so much greater.

Or, on linux try to poke it from terminal using google's public DNS.
nslookup wwwblabladotcom 8.8.8.8
Not for me, writing this. If it persists on your side it could be a local DNS issue.

12.01.2026 20:00 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Dareka was initially episodical so they went with a bunch of ideas. Anime power suits, '80s space aerobics, and zombie vampire. Ship looks something like the 2001's discovery one, but I'm also getting Event Horizon forebodings.

Came out as Dareka... on the eroge mix Pink Sox disks then was made into a special version. Some neat designs in it and is kind of all over the place thematically.
Horned beaky helmet guy from Excalibur forever in my heart.
11.01.2026 09:56 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just sliding in here to say that the actual power armour design for ๅฎๅฎใฎๆฆๅฃซ was done by ๅ ่ค็ดไน (Naoyuki Kato) before the 80s (77?), for the paperback novel covers. Everyone thought it was cool and it's probably one of the more influential suit designs out there.
10.01.2026 10:24 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0It feels so shallow compared to the old forums where thread visitors had to make a conscious effort to stop by--and leave. On social media everything just drops off a waterfall to perhaps be noticed by distant random bystanders. The reach is greater... but also not really. Not where it matters.
02.01.2026 11:04 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It only becomes more complicated with age, I think, due to the increased... uh, contextual width available? For my part it doesn't help that I get hyper focused at my current interest, only to completely lose interest and wonder what that was all about.

Shogo gameplay mixes people scale and mech scale, and has little-people to stomp on for the mech sequences which is always fun. A little flawed, so-so graphically, but makes up for it with quirky charm.
Seems to play very close to Shogo's city levels.

The nutty putty cave. The stake house. Yeah, you can tell by the first movie how enthusiastic they are about that stuff.
25.12.2025 21:05 โ ๐ 22 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hellraiser seems like a franchise that could have developed very differently.
Movie 2: Kind of like T2 with the longer future war scenes. We see parts of hell with its politics and characters.
Movie 3: Bigbudget hell. Maneuvering by the various factions and entities, who pull in hapless creatures.
A true xmas movie.
The box. Open it. We have such sights to show you.
Yeah, a lot of old Linux folks are strangely obsessive about privilege boundaries, but it really feels moot on a single user system. The threat picture on a university computer vs a desktop looks very different. Root files are just garbage you can reinstall. Main user's files are _everything_.
24.12.2025 21:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Basically, think of Linux as having a fridge sized university mini-computer in your house. It's set up to deal with groups of students, teachers, the janitor, etc. And you can't have someone from class 2B messing around in the wrong area now can you?
That's why it's so convoluted as a desktop comp.
Emus put things willynilly. Dosbox makes a hidden folder in home called .dosbox/. Some stuff ends up in home .config/
FSUAE (amiga emu) can be configurated to point at some user dir with floppies. MAME I haven't tried under mint yet but I'm quite sure the game files need to go in the root area.
Linux programs have a bad habit of installing config stuff in both the root area, and user area. Sometimes duplicate folders/files. A fallback thing for multiple users perhaps.
If you're lucky you don't have to mess around in the root area and can find stuff in home as a .hidden folder.
Anyways, when you are in your subfolders in home the properties dialog opens up in your name.
When you go to file system and some system folder it will open up in root user's name. Basically to fool around in there you need to be in some kind of root mode, which you probably aren't.
Afaik Linux is a UNIX thingamajib, i.e. heavily multi-user focused. Because of this there are various users & groups with different sets of permissions. This is what makes linux so confusing on the desktop where there is mostly only one user.
you can be root, user or guest, etc. Confusing and boring
This. For the GUI Ctrl + a then drag drop. Showing hidden files is in the right click menu. Sometimes you have to do that in the file selector when trying to load a hidden file into XED, like something in .config/
You can drag drop files directly onto the bookmark dirs in the file browser sidebar.
