Infiltrating 40k since 3rd Edition, Narrative Hobbyist, US Army Veteran, I sometimes do videos on Narrative Warhammer: http://bitshammer.net Cis He/Him
The Crusader pattern helmets help, as do the words picked out in gold but I agree.
04.02.2026 22:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wanted to try out a Doom Eagles scheme using that SM2 aluminum scheme but I felt it was missing something so I used Steel to give the trim some pop.
And yes, I do sometimes use the old Cataphractii as test minis.
Deep strike was a one and done thing under those rules. The Gate of Infinity is doing it over and over again. Completely different play pattern there between 10th ed and everything before it.
They are still Space Marines at their core, just shiny wizardy ones.
Maybe but that was done pretty early on since they were all silver as of Codex Daemonhunters in 3rd
04.02.2026 19:18 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0They used to be less silver than now
04.02.2026 18:45 β π 33 π 2 π¬ 3 π 0I mean I wasn't complaining. Halberds are my main choice when building Grey Knights too.
04.02.2026 18:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sounds right but I am no expert
04.02.2026 16:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So in 2nd Edition 40K and the Horus Heresy novels, N'kari is a Slaaneshi Daemon Prince, but in 5th edition 40K and Warhammer Fantasy he is a Keeper of Secrets type Greater Daemon.
Have I got that right?
Still baffles me that a chapter of psykers doesn't have a bespoke psychic Dreadnought
04.02.2026 16:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Or you could just give them cyber pugs and not bother with trying to pull a muscle there
04.02.2026 15:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's not an animal.
04.02.2026 15:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There isn't a single example I can think of where the Imperium is making animal servitors out of people. They just use animals.
04.02.2026 15:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Because they see the human form religiously. As does the whole Imperium, hence why "mutants" are so hated.
Chaos would be better for that sort of thing since they love weird daemon engines and Hellbrute things.
Ravenor's brain was fine it was his body that was broken beyond repair
04.02.2026 14:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would love to see the Grey Knights double down on their older style equipment and break out Heresy Era pattern vehicles decked out in their iconography.
Mostly because I really like 30k tank design
Psykers need to be able to use their brains to tap into their powers and the warp.
04.02.2026 14:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I really should get around to painting him.
04.02.2026 14:28 β π 19 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Post a Wizard?

For days 754 & 755 of my #HobbyStreak I finished up this Lasrifle Section for my Solar Auxilia to take to Warhammer World this weekend
#WarhammerCommunity #HorusHeresy #SolarAuxilia
Also finished a Command Section as well

They are completely different things. Servitors that aren't vat grown are criminals being punished. Dreadnoughts are chapter heroes kept alive in the universe's worst ICU bed so they can share their wisdom with future generations.
04.02.2026 13:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Servitors are lobotomized, dreadnoughts are not.
04.02.2026 12:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Servitorized Psykers sounds like something you'd see with the Dark Mechanicus
