Additionally, Tsirkas et al. show that R-loops, under specific conditions, can be beneficial for cells, by reducing excessive RNAPII load on highly-transcribing genes, thus preventing potential TRCs.

We are very happy to see this project led by @ioannistsirkas.bsky.social reach the final stages! πŸ₯³

Replisome progression regulates R-loop mediated transcriptional repression Maintaining cellular proliferation necessitates the synchronized activity of diverse molecular machineries operating in parallel on the genome. Wide-spread transcription and R-loop formation can inter...

Our latest research is online in the @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social! πŸ§¬πŸŽ‰

πŸ”Ž We have developed a novel, single-cell real-time approach to monitor R-loop generated TRCs, and we have shown R-loop-mediated, replisome-controlled transcription repression.

Leveraging prior knowledge to infer gene regulatory networks from single-cell RNA-sequencing data | Molecular Systems Biology EMBO Press is an editorially independent publishing platform for the development of EMBO scientific publications.

How can we improve gene regulatory network inference from noisy scRNA-seq data? Our new review in @molsystbiol.org explores the latest methods integrating prior knowledge to enhance reliability. Plus, some suggestions on how to improve benchmarking!

Proud to share our latest publication in @narjournal.bsky.social! A fantastic team effort led by @marcelwerner.bsky.social and Manuel T., where we explore the chromatin dynamics at transcription-replication conflicts (TRC) sites and their impact on genome stability using a novel TRC reporter system.
