People who don’t include disability liberation in their understanding of social justice will never make sense to me.

Like what do you MEAN you oppose sexism, racism, and classism, but the minute the lived reality of that oppression starts showing up physically, all your energy just evaporates?

Out: wishing for people to stop misgendering me.

In: appreciating the people that use the right words without having to be asked, as well as the people who correct themselves when they slip up and make an effort to learn.

There are a million reasons for me to be stressed out & anxious right now, but there are also reasons for me to be excited & hopeful. The things I want may not always be the things that I get, but there are many wonderful things I’d never dreamed of that have become reality. I’m keeping my head up.

With all the shit going on in the world, I feel absolutely ridiculous trying to market my photography business. My next social media post should just say, “Hey, I know everything is literally and figuratively on fire, but if you could hire me so I can pay my bills, that would be like, super cool.”

Wild that I’m still having vivid nightmares about a job I left over 5 years ago. Hospitality did a number on me, and my sleep quality is still suffering. 🥱

Living in a society that refuses to fund education, healthcare, housing, food, clean water, clean air, public transportation and other basic needs, but has no problem funding genocide and war crimes will really fuck up anyone who still has a shred of empathy left in them.

Gaza death toll surpasses 45,000

More than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, according to the territory's health authorities. More than half are women and children.

That's the official death toll, but the true figure is believed to be much higher.

The people who can’t be bothered to learn someone’s new name or pronouns are probably the same people who leave their shopping carts loose in the middle of the parking lot.

I see you’re pretending to be an ally to the queer community immediately after voting to ban gender affirming care for trans youth in military families. Gender affirming care saves lives, but considering your track record with genocide, I guess that wouldn’t be a priority for you, huh?

I care so deeply about so many things, and it’s incredibly upsetting to see my elected officials stand in the way of progress on those issues, or worse, actively work against them.

@magaziner.house.gov I understand you just voted to ban gender affirming care for youth on TRICARE. Gender affirming care saves lives! But maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that someone who willingly enables genocide would also willingly deny trans youth of the lifesaving care they need. 🤷🏻

#ClimateAction is happening all around us, and Big Oil wants you to forget that so you give up on trying to hold them accountable -- or never try at all. It's why climate doesn't get the coverage in the media it deserves, and it's why climate doom has gained traction online.

I don’t wish ill upon anyone, but that doesn’t mean I have to mourn bad things happening to bad people. 🤷🏻

If you’re not openly supportive of trans & queer rights, then there are probably trans & queer people in your life who do not feel comfortable being themselves around you, or flat out feel unsafe in your presence. Do whatever you want with that information.

It’s “sit in the nice, warm car and listen to music for a while rather than go in the house” season.

The only good thing about it getting colder is that it’s now hot cocoa season.
