Growing up in the 90s, the American Dream seemed more like being comfortable than being rich. It only seems like being rich now that things have gotten so bad.

Setting the Constitution as the central point of all the oaths of service was a mistake. Power comes from the people. They should be the point of the oaths. People would be more involved and less resigned to the way things are if the service oaths were about us, not some words on a page.

As bad as McConnell is, the one thing that can be said in his favor is that he's only mostly for Trump. He has stood up to him in the past, definitely not as much as he should have, but enough that I can tentatively believe him when he says something anti-Trump.
