My favorite topping: Just plain granulated sugar. You’ll want to quickly add a sprinkling of sugar to a warm pancake, fold it in half and again to a quarter, then wait 15 sec before eating. The sugar should partially melt, making a “crunchy” syrup which sounds cloying, but it works perfectly IMO!

This is not actually as stressful as it sounds, but I 100% understand cooking them all in advance and eating later if you’re not exactly two people who enjoy cooking.

How we do it in our house: We are two people cooking, we set up a buffet of condiments next to the hob and eat each pancake immediately as it comes out of the pan, taking turns cooking our own pancake and eating it. It should take roughly the same time to eat one pancake as to cook it.
