Bravo. He doesn't deserve the half mast flags, full stop. CK was no hero, but a promoter of hate. This doesn't take away from the tragedy of his assassination and the fact the political violence is always wrong. More than two things can be true at the same time.

Don't fan the flames of division. Political violence is a coward's way out in a society of ideas, and must be prosecuted fairly. Humans have a nuanced blend of views and experiences. Dehumanizing those who don't agree with you is an invitation for more violence -- don't get on the revenge train.

Students were eating lunch when they heard the gunshots. It’s yet another horrific school shooting, and every time my heart breaks for the kids, parents, and communities shattered by gun violence.

We can’t stop demanding change. Congress can and must pass gun safety legislation.

That's why we have to bring the fight to them with vigorous debate and to expose corruption/lies wherever they are. You cannot discount toxic ideology by killing the mouthpieces - that brings more violence.

Political violence is not the answer. It only brings more of the same. As much as I hated Kirk's ideas, the way to neutralize them is with better ideas and more debate. If he was corrupt, expose and penalize him. Killing him is a censor on free speech on all side. Where does it stop? This is not ok.

This is a sad day for the US. I didn't agree with Charlie Kirk's views, but no one deserves to be assassinated, especially while expressing free speech. Political issues ought to be debated, that's democracy. Violence solves nothing, just ramps up hatred. Let's come together as humans, for peace.
