As someone who knows the cases have risen immensely, especially after Covid. When money gets tight people file. Social Security has been underfunded and understaffed for quite awhile.

People need to understand that even while government isn't perfect we have ways of demanding accountability thru freedom of information and our voting process. With privatization we are totally subject to corruption and predatory practises with no accountability whatsoever.
