SUPERMAN is a great and welcome trip to a different world at the movies. It's filled with characters that want to do the right thing, whatever the cost, and it reminds us that optimism is preferable to political gamesmanship and segmenting of lives as pawns. Plus, Krypto and Jimmy Olsen rule.

Every now and then I post on this place, and then realize that it'll never be what the Other Site was in its prime. Oh, The Other Site is far worse now, and I deleted my account, but it's all gone.

I loved Better Man. Yes, I loved the Robbie Williams CGI monkey movie. It's one of the best depictions of depression I have seen onscreen, and it is a wildly entertaining bit of fiction that contains some universal truths. It deserves more than some write-off about its box office.
