llms also make this all more feasible

i dont think it's actually that hard to contribute if the project is willing to embrace design and commit to prioritizing it alongside the technical work. gh for design work is a bit clunky but manageable

ime it's been a combination of becoming more technical (getting comfortable with github, terminal, etc) and working with orgs to be more design oriented. for example, exposing os design assets (figma, storyboard, etc) in parallel with the code
