A full strategy countering Project 2025 is needed - and as sophisticated - including money and influence behind the strategy.

SNAP is not just for the unemployed.

It’s for anyone who’s living below the poverty line, which sadly includes a lot of people who are working full time jobs.

But here’s the thing… even if it were β€œjust” for the unemployed… they still deserve food!

No one deserves to starve.

9 months back in power, and every branch of government now merged into one corrupt man. The House, the Senate, the Supreme Court, all nothing but autopens for a crook who’s doubled his fortune while Americans starve.

They have the money to fund SNAP through November. They refuse to use it.

The cruelty is the point.

Trump says he’s increasing tariffs on Canada by 10% after Ontario’s Reagan ad | CNN Business President Donald Trump said Saturday he is increasing the tariff on Canada by 10% over current levels, further escalating trade tensions over what he called a β€œfake” ad that featured parts of an anti-...

An embarrassingly obvious point, but...

This. Is. Illegal.

If anything like the rule of law were in force, Trump couldn't arbitrarily increase a tariff because he is annoyed.

In important and increasing ways, the rule of law in the US no longer exists.

Deeply racist, yes, but also deeply stupid.

Rural counties have higher enrollments than urban ones. Some of the largest enrollment states are red ones like Louisiana, Oklahoma and West Virginia. Undocumented immigrants are ineligible. Most beneficiaries are required to work 80 hrs/month.

Did you know that over 1.3M active duty service members and veterans rely on SNAP benefits to feed themselves and their families?

Now you know.

I was asked to be on a bi-partisan committee supplying congress with information on food insecurity.

Yes, there are going to be A LOT of people surprised when they see the extent of our fellow citizens who use SNAP (about 40 million, lots of veterans) and WIC (over 6 million) programs.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Republicans control all 3 branches of the government and claim they’re leading us into a β€œGolden Age.” But they can’t figure out how to end a government shutdown, and they want us to blame the party that controls exactly zero branches of government.

This is what the White House might have looked like if the third plane had not crashed in Pennsylvania on 9/11. Trump is finishing that job for them.

β€œLet them go a month without meals. Maybe they will get a job”

First, many SNAP recipients have jobs. They’re just living below the poverty line because of tremendous wealth inequality.

Second, many are disabled and children and can’t work.

Third, no one should starve to death.

The thing to understand about fascism is that most people you know will be bought off. Bought with promises of peace and stability, bought with business opportunities or paid with actual cash. Most people aren't going to resist. Get used to it and get used to operating in that environment.

Even in the movies, scenes of the White House getting blown up by invading aliens or terrorists feel emotionally unsettling.

It’s the People’s House after all.

So imagine having to witness its destruction in real life…and the culprit is the President.

White House releases list of donors for Trump’s multi-million-dollar ballroom | CNN Politics Apple, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Google, Coinbase, Comcast and Meta are just some of the major companies who have made donations to build President Donald Trump’s proposed 90,000-square-foot...

People keep saying it's privately funded. That's misleading. "Privately funded" is when foundations and wealthy individuals pay for it.

At least half a dozen of these donors are major federal contractors dependent on U.S. taxpayers. This is money laundering.
