Alan Rickman was 11/10 in that movie though, I can agree with that.

I made it home after 8 transit trips throughout the day. I would like to point out that despite all the traveling I did, I only spent $8 on a regional day pass. The same trip via Uber or taxi would run around $250

The final segment is the 124/24 Georgetown -> Downtown. Very lucky to catch a 24 for us, most evening trips for this route were cut during covid and haven't been reinstated

The second to last segment is the 60 from White center to Georgetown. We could have taken a faster route or stayed on the H to complete our trip, but we're not trying to speed run this. We spent some time in White Center with some friends. We had to jog for the 60, hence the picture is blurry.

We caught the H from Burien to White Center. This new rapid ride BRT route runs at 10 minute frequency, and has modern, well lit shelters along the route

Stopped at Bellevue City Hall and Bellevue Square Mall. No snacks or drinks on this stop, the two coffee shops nearest the transit center were both closed

I have the day off work and felt like going on a bus/train/transit adventure around the Seattle region. The plan is to circumnavigate Lake Washington, stopping at cities and towns along the way to eat, drink, and explore. Planning on about 8 stops and 10-12 hours total round trip

Machine House is pretty great. I haven't been to their new location on Rainier yet. It's a bit of a hike from the light rail, or you can brave the 7. White Horse Tavern in Post Alley always has one of their cask ales on tap.

Get in nerds, it's Train Time. 7/10 it was worth seeing for the cinematography, aerial shots, train mounted shots, and high quality multi channel audio. Minus points for being what seemed to be a BNSF puff piece.

I had my thermometer on my balcony. It stopped working in the heat and required some percussive persuasion to turn back on. Lucky for me, my heat pump is able to keep up, and the metro bus I'm on now has working AC.

The Elliott Ave freeway ramp that runs down to Alaskan is objectively awful. Also crossing a 6 lane "street" is never fun, no matter how much landscaping you add. Doomerism aside, I'm also pretty pissed at how we threw away such a prime opportunity to parkify the waterfront

The late 8! One of my regular routes. Imagine a 60ft articulated diesel bus, crush load of passengers, unable to move because of a select few entitled SOV drivers waiting to get on the freeway. SDOT clearly has certain priorities.
