I am on my way home to Toronto and the aurorae are absolutely phenomenal.

If you are anywhere in the northern half of the continent, get outside and look up! Or better still, put your camera on a 10 second exposure and point it up.

I’ve never seen the northern lights like this. Snack in the middle of the city (St Paul) and the colors were so strong. Even stronger though the camera lens.

I’ve lost students in my school due to ICE. One of the most respectful students I’ve taught in 20 years. Someone who always helped me translate with students who had limited English. A kid who had the American Dream. He’s a senior. Instead of completing his year, he’s in an ICE facility.
