I don't think the Dems can stop the firings. But why aren't they proposing legislation that assures those that took the buyout get paid , and that all that are fired, get at least a year severance and health benefits? And any one with a health condition is covered the entire time they are sick?

Severance is, as always, outstanding. But I can't get over how perfectly they've captured how faceless corporations perform all of the aesthetics of kindness, but only in ways to placate workers. It's just so... disconcerting

On my way into work today that for many is the last day before holidays but for many frontline staff, including our bus drivers, working right through the holidays is their duty. Work doesn't stop. Thankful for them during the holidays, continuing to serve their community!

Jan 23rd, 2024, when a shooter entered City Hall, I was downtown and ran into a number of councillors and staff evacuated and fleeing City Hall for their safety. I'll never forget the look of fear in their eyes & the trauma on their faces. 1/3

A table showing an increasing number of fatal and serious injury collisions in Edmonton each year since 2020. So far in 2024 there have been 26 traffic fatalities and 124 serious injuries. In 2020, there were nine fatalities and 56 serious injuries.

One more note: here is injury collision data from the Edmonton Police, provided to us on Friday.

Pretty special day today picking up food bank donations from participating local schools for Stuff A Bus. Awesome seeing the kids not only excited about giving to those less fortunate but also about boarding the bus to do so! Their energy is infectious. The kids really are alright!
