I’m replaying Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon since I never actually finished it as a kid (quit in the post-game story because it felt too hard).

Hopefully my improved knowledge of the game’s mechanics and how to find info online (mostly Bulbapedia & old forum posts) will help me finish it this time.

The Shadow Mewtwo fight definitely caught me off guard too the first time I fought it.

Fun fact: At 1,235+ hours, Pokkén Tournament DX is still my most-played Switch game. Though, Monster Hunter: Rise / Sunbreak isn’t too far behind at 1,150+ hours.

On this day in 2017, 8 years ago, Pokkén Tournament DX was released.

This game was an enhanced version of the Wii U title with all the DLC and some new Pokémon as well as a Team Battle mode allowing you to select 3 Pokémon

I still remember staying up for the “midnight release” (it was actually earlier due to time zones) via the eshop & playing with the new fighters (especially Darkrai) all night. Crazy to think it’s been 8 YEARS since then. #LongLivePokken

Ah, my first personal video game. I still have so many memories going back to the night I got it. Honestly, I have no idea who I’d be today if things were different. Without getting into Pokémon, there’s people I’d probably never have met & interests I’d probably never have learned about.

Quick Direct thoughts:

• Metroid Prime 4 is open world? And Samus gets a BIKE!

• MHS3 release date! Mar. 13!

• FE? 3H?!? Wait… THREE Houses & now FO(U)Rtune’s Weave. This is definitely a sequel. Very curious.

• Finally, Mega Kalos starters! (Mega) Chesnaught is my favorite design for once.
