I think we’re safe from artificial intelligence a while longer. AI just informed me that “No members of the House of Representatives voted against the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in 1973, as it passed unanimously with a vote of 355-4.”

The good news is that it’s getting easier because the entire value chain from raw material producer to converter to retailer to consumer to reuse and recycling facilities are collaborating on solutions.

There is no sustainable packaging solution. There is only packaging that is more sustainable than other alternatives for a given use within a given geography. Sigh…I wish it was easy.

FYI the #sustainability of #packaging depends on the material(s) used to make it, the need to the product, consumer behavior when the packaging is no longer needed, and the reuse/recycling infrastructure where the product is unpacked.
