BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.

None! And I don't know of a bookstore anywhere in western Canada with a an actual _selection to browse_. An extremely scarce topic; one I actually use when I train new staff in "what to keep an eye out for." Abebooks will have some but maybe not as many as you'd expect, priced for scarcity.

Single busiest day since December 2025, despite Bad Bunny sports thing. Working late to recent PSB boot, logging hundreds of new book sales. Thanks to everyone who came for a wander on Main Street or Commercial Drive in this unseasonable springtime.

A reading from
the Commonplace Book

…wordmills had just come in, they were all the rage, people were sick of writers, they loved the wordmill product, there was no time for a publisher to think of anything else and no point in him doing so.

Just to reassure everybody - the city didn't actually lose any money, because provincial laws prevent municipalities from making risky investments like Bitcoin.

A reminder, this bozo claimed he had a "fiduciary duty" to invest in the fundamentally speculative technology primarily used to enable crimes like drug and human trafficking.
