In a black metal mood right now, so listening to the new Car Bomb EP is like getting hit with an even bigger truck than usual.

One of the only labels where, if I see a release from them, I know it's going to be quality. And it's clear that she puts so much care into every aspect of it.

Best opening to an album ever?

I'm a slut for Panopticon :P I could easily put almost all of Austin's albums on a list like this.

A few of you have done your top 100 black metal albums, so I thought I would throw my list into the ring too.

Probably forgot some, there are a some real obscure ones I listened to back in the early 2010s that I've likely forgotten about. Plus, a few very problematic ones that I have omitted.

re, Fen; You can't really go wrong with any of their albums. And they have one of the coolest logos in metal, imo.

Amazing! They hold a special place in my heart and I'm glad to spread the word to more people.

Other than that, extremely cool list! A lot of albums that would definitely show up on my top 100 black metal albums too, or at least different albums from the same artist. Love to see props given to Fen, extremely underrated band imo.

I miss the days of downloading obscure black metal demos from sketchy foreign Blogspot pages.

In the interest of balance, I will put out something positive now too.

The same market also had a booth by my friend, @nywn.art, whose art is gorgeous. They work in a variety of mediums, most recently adding stained glass, which were apparently quite popular at the market!

I didn't see any others stopping at his booth, that's for sure.

I said hello to him at the booth and he just stared at me dourly. Must be a miserable dude.

But I just looked him up online out of curiosity and he also has a trilogy that is just repackaged QAn*n shit in a sci-fi setting.

Went to the Nautical Days festival in my city today and one of the vendors there was an author advertising that he wrote science fiction and speculative fiction.

I read the summary of one book and it was in a future where men have been stripped of their rights thanks to a "#WeNow" movement.
