It was a squeaker election for Gov and Senate in 2018. Then covid happened and the Gov went from shutting down bars and setting road blocks on I-95 to the “Free State of Florida” and attracted a lot of covid deniers and conspiracy theorists.

I used hallucinate with it last night. Was searching to see the score of a high school football game being played and forgot to remove ai results. The AI returned a final score on a game in the 1st quarter complete with yesterdays date. And thankfully that did not match the actual RL final score.

I don’t use Insta much but when I do I set it to following and then only see those I follow.

I also never used “for you” back on Twitter either.

It amazes me how people just completely lost it over the idea of trying to help protect the more vulnerable in our communities.

Don’t think I have any sort of ADD but have always spoken faster than most & read fast as well, out loud, not skimming.

I love audiobooks when I can speed them up. Very rare to find one I don’t want to set faster. Love the digital age for that reason. Even in conversations I wish ppl spoke faster.

My second kid nearly broke me.

I think my elementary aged kid could pick out “which color has more” very easily.

Had one of those days recently. Today went okay.

Never thought about this. As a registered R in Florida solely for the primary, maybe I’ll go back to Election Day voting so they can waste their time on me.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some members of my family could end up on the spectrum as it currently stands today.

And my grandad surely had ADHD having listened to some of his stories (and clear coping mechanisms) but that wasn’t really recognized back then.

A friend and I have talked about changing our names backs to our birth names if all this gets too stupid.

Yes, but also I remember a campaign for “88 reasons for ‘88” when I was a preteen.

There was a book outlining all the reasons the rapture would happen that year.

And then when it didn’t, I’m pretty sure there was an “89 reasons” update.

I understand the Dark Ages more now than I used to.

“Cannot be questioned” I agree with. We should always keep studying.

But RFK Jr or Trump being qualified to do the questioning on vaccines or autism, I’m not on board with.

I also don’t take health advice for my kids from them or Jenny McCarthy.

My kids had a better handle on numbers than this in elementary school.

One kid had a chance to go to Chicago with school and a FOX soaked relative said they “wouldn’t want to go there now” with a horrified expression on their face. I’d go on a trip to Chicago without much thought.

But at least he’s not old 🙄

We have fully funded Florida Prepaid accounts for our kids and I hate the idea of letting them attend a FL uni right now. The Florida my parents graduated HS from in the 70s and I moved to in 2001 is not the same as 2025 FL.

Maybe a feature not a bug?

At Legoland Florida they have solar panels over the premium parking and it is so much better than parking in the sun.

I voted in local/state elections for third parties quite a bit during the Tea Party era. I don’t think any of them ever broke out of the single digits. I could see certain elections in my very red area that I might again but I still don’t think any have a viable path. My area is “R no matter who”.

Grew up not far from Wilmington and Charleston. Still amazing how little I learned about some things. Recently watched a program about the 1898 Coup in Wilmington and yes, this is clearly who we are even though some has been memory holed.

As someone with kids into games thanks for this. Never even thought to look for media reporting on gaming.

But actual physicians, unlike this quack, I do listen to. And to think the State and our flagship university pay him a fortune for this.

But here in FL we now teach our kids that slavery had some good things so…
