Hi Josh! Thanks for sharing this. I guess as Aidan already replied to the piece, the trait model still has not coherent definition of PDs. If you'd like to provide a definition, I'd be happy to talk more. But as it stands trait definitions fail all empirical and logical tests.

19.04.2025 19:15 β π 38149 π 8156 π¬ 384 π 219ALT TEXT: A political cartoon by Ben Jennings (dated 13.03.2025) depicts a disabled parking enforcement officer issuing a fine to a small grey car parked in a designated blue badge holder space. The car has a valid blue badge displayed, yet a penalty charge notice is stuck to its windshield. Meanwhile, a bright red sports car with the number plate βW3A L7Hβ is parked in the adjacent disabled bay without a blue badge, but it goes entirely unchallenged by the officer. The background features a brick wall with a βBlue Badge Holders Onlyβ sign. The cartoon highlights hypocrisy in enforcement, suggesting disabled people face unfair scrutiny while those with power or privilege are ignored.
New: Labour plans to cut disability benefits instead of imposing a wealth tax. Ben Jenningsβ cartoon nails it.
A government that fines disabled people while letting the rich park wherever they wantβboth literally and politically.
First, we provide evidence that increasing public support for redistributive policy (the CTC) across racial/ethnic and partisan lines is possible with well-designed messages that center shared values, describe policy efficacy, and include a call to collective action.

Pressing need for clinical trial research on dimensional personality disorder: http://osf.io/ur5qy/
25.11.2024 10:43 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I just want to say for the record that I am not against preregistration. I understand the usefulness of registration for a priori hypothesis testing. I support any measures for improving our science.
24.11.2024 18:08 β π 40 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0This highlights a pressing need for more clinical research in this line of inquiry. Personally, I think this can only be achieved when we appreciate PD for what it actually is: a relational disorder.

I think one of the things I found so frustrating about Morganβs story is how professionals completely ignored the idea that a PD is supposed to be a consistent pattern of behaviour, and labeled her based off how she acted in a crisis. I have a lot to say about this bc I see it too often π¬

Why I will never call an NHS crisis line again:
"I ain't going to coroner's court for you & neither will your therapist, the trust, or the ambulance service. You have capacity".
Then she (NHS rapid response service) hung up the phone on me.
This was seconds after a suicide attempt.
