I’ve not seriously played a Pokémon since Gold/Silver (I’ve dabbled in a few but never properly) so it’s refreshing to approach Legends ZA with no real preconceptions.

I know people get really annoyed when Linux is shoved down people’s throat when talking about Windows problems, but if you can’t/don’t want to upgrade to Windows 11 for a myriad of perfectly valid reasons, it’s really the way to go. Extended Windows 10 support is only for one year.

Hopefully Linux distros with make the switch in their repositories quickly too.

I think they made the decision to go fully multiplatform with Xbox being a PC storefront years ago, but just can’t be straight with people about it. The next Xbox is going to be a line of PCs.

I’m getting increasingly annoyed by how much Microsoft are gaslighting people about what an Xbox is. I’m sure the Xbox Ally X is very good, but it’s a Windows device that does not play any form of Xbox software from any generation. Don’t let people feed you word salad telling you otherwise.

He’s been a bit of a character for literally decades. GZDoom having bilinear filtering, jump and free look enabled by default is entirely his decision, for example. The community always disables that shit.

AI was just the straw that broke the camel’s back I think. He’s more likely to just carry on GZDoom than try to be a mere contributor in a fork, but they can just block him as contributor if he tried.

I think the new DZDoom fork isn’t just AI, they no longer want to work with Graf. It’s the same as how FBNeo was forked from FBAlpha in that sense.

Honestly, some of these cheap business machines with potato integrated graphics make fantastic GOG machines. Play classic games without the distraction of modern ones.

The entire team has packed up and made a new fork of Gzdoom.

I remember getting Exhumed/Powerslave for my brother because the box said it ran on PCs with 4MB RAM. It did not run on PCs with 4MB RAM.

My in-laws in Japan are now sending me over Geki Rock magazine every month so I can better follow what bands are up and coming in Japan. I expected this to be mostly ads since it’s a ‘free’ (not really free) magazine, but it’s a proper full magazine of all actual articles.

I know it's silly but these Forever remakes actively offend me. They're the only legitimate access younger people have to these games, and that shouldn't be the case. I hate the idea that someone's first experience of Panzer Dragoon might be the remake.

I also have to manually approve any over-age games, which is annoying as I'm not that fussed about him playing over-age games - I did at his age, and I know what games are installed. It's not like he's playing Manhunt 2 lol.

It's absurd - I had to create a burner account because he's 8 years old and does not have an email account lol. He has an account on my Switch 2 but had none of that.

I may have swapped my old controller around with the new one lol, but it’s all the same to him.

It’s my son’s birthday tomorrow and I’m getting him a DualSense. My PS5 gets very little usage due to having a PC that’s much better, but I’m thinking he’ll get much more use out of if (while not having to worry about damaging my controllers) and we can play games together.

It has Silent Hill 2 style multiple endings, but only one can be unlocked on first play through. It’s not the longest game in the world, but also not a trivial replay so I ended up watching the other endings on YouTube.
