I did think about going with Wayfire of lxqt with Wayfire. I tested both out while they’re OK they configurations are pretty tedious and CSS, which is absolutely disgusting is required for certain things. I will, however, make my gaming system use Trinity when I fully transitioned back to OSX.

I’m sorry #KDE it’s been fun from 2005 till now. The direction you’re heading is not one that includes myself. Current choices and upcoming design philosophy has pushed me to no longer want to donate or contribute in any way to the project. I wish you the best. Back to osx I go for a daily driver.

I would personally be way more annoyed if it had 5G since if you drive a lot it’s way more annoying because it cuts out at least in the states.

We're really proud to show off the final design for Pebble Time 2*! It's quite a bit sleeker and imo more awesome looking than the original design for Core Time 2 we showed off in March. I hope you like it!

I did end up, figuring it out after much trial and error. While not pretty. I just made a script that checks every so many seconds to make sure the process is still running and if it’s not to restart it. And then in the nix config, it starts that bash script with systemd.

On Nixos on a #wlroots compositor how do you have #waybar restart when you manually turn off your desktops display. And turn it on later.
I tried using a script and no luck and adding it to systemd services.

The Cursed "Optimization" In TES:Oblivion | UE5.6 is NOT 30% faster (Context Explained)
YouTube video by Threat Interactive The Cursed "Optimization" In TES:Oblivion | UE5.6 is NOT 30% faster (Context Explained)

Can we please stop using #UE5 for game development. Honestly, it is such an abomination. #Nanite in particular.

The best combination I personally think in foss would be inscape and Krita. Though Inkscape run in X11 mode. And with affinity being bought out by the sketchy company, I would probably never upgrade from version two I just don’t trust them. lol The CEO messed up in my opinion.

Krita is mostly fine. It’s text box creation you asked is pretty bad. And honestly, it’s not good for SVGs or vector art but for photographs I think it’s pretty good most of the time.

I only say as somebody who has tried several several times haha, though the very first version of affinity works the best in wine the second one is just a non-starter

Don’t bother performance is not there it doesn’t matter how good your hardware is. You’re better off running it in a non-virtual box VM where you can use GPU acceleration.

And at the end of the day, it’s a lot of work for subpar performance and it crashes just way too often.

Use whichever one you think looks the most simple at the end of the day any of them can be made to do pretty much anything. Personally, I would avoid Fedora. As for desktop environment, I would strongly recommend. KDE for gaming or if you’re coming from Mac/pc.
cinnamon is fine as well.

I can’t stand gimp lol. It’s missing features still to this day and it just has the UI messed up in photogimp is no better.

It’s the same as when people try to come to use inkscape. I have tried, and I just can’t use it personally it has a UX problem as well.

It looks interesting. Gnome mobile is not personally for me, but we definitely need more devices like this.

Versus #MPV. Who actually likes #VLC as a player. VLC is really annoying when you want to play content that has multiple episodes and is not necessarily organized with MPV. It’s a simple Lua file. And the interface is not unnecessarily cumbersome.

Gnome looks so little like osx it can’t even put the clock in a sane place without a modifying app. it’s widow decorations are in the wrong place. It has no global menu support or dock out of the box It’s a mobile os nothing more.

Make sure the laptop can support gpu acceleration or your in for a sub par experience in a vm.

use the flatpak or change the one file in its config so it stops somplaing when the distro is slow to update the pkg. Will it be much better, no, but discord is garbage to begin with and will only get worse. but its "popular" for now.

by setting it to not auto login on boot. which you type login in setting an then click on behavior. No diffrent then trying to figure out there MS keeps the power performance settings. When you dont know its in the old control panel

Can #KDE & #Gnome just come together & make the core of a #onscreen #keyboard for touchscreens they both can modify & do their little changes at the end so it will fit their desktops, we really need a core Wayland solution & waiting on #Wayland is not a solution. For accessibility & other reasons.

2012-20XX has got 2 be the worst time 2 be a designer as there’s zero innovation/uniqueness in the #linux / #pc space. The same monolithic flat design, void of soul, artistic skill or emotion. While at the same time completely ostracizing anybody with any #disability. it might be time to drop tech

It’s definitely interesting and it cool feature not something I would personally use just because I like the option because I don’t always know what I want to do lol. But I could see it being very important for workflows, especially at that time in 2007

If I have to see another post about an irrelevant, no name, YouTuber, I’m going to break something. I didn’t know about their existence until recently, and I’m already fully sick of them and the Linux Community for latching onto any stray ray of hope they have to increase numbers. Get over it.

Now, if only there was a nice QT Linux App that did the same.
