Our first week back and the start of a huge half term. Thanks to everyone who has already been voting for us at the Bradford sports awards.

Monday- Badminton club.

Tuesday- Yr 11 football v BBEC at home. Yr 7 and 8 training on as normal on the field.

Thursday- Girls football and rugby training.

Our Yr 8s loved their champions party in GE2. Well done everyone.

We have won the Yr8 Bradford schools south league. We won 9-1 today against Grange to win the league. Our yr9s won 4-0 and finished 2nd in their league. We have now qualified for the Bradford schools knockout stages in all 5 yr groups. Amazing is the word!!!

I am so proud of our KS3 and KS4 boys national badminton teams. We had plenty of wins throughout the day. We finished the day with a great 8-2 win over Silcoates school from Wakefield. Overall out of West Yorkshire our ks3 boys finished 6th and our ks4 boys finished 9th. Xavier was our top player.

Our Yr 10 boys lost 2-0 to BBEC today but still finish second in our group and progress to the quarter finals.

Hey. We are really struggling at the moment to get schools to play. It is a priority for next half term to hopefully secure some friendly matches. Thanks as always for your support.

Our Yr7s and Yr9s enjoyed their football rewards party for qualifying for the Bradford schools quarter finals.

We are so delighted to report that our Yr 9 boys football team beat BBG 4-1 and therefore guaranteed progression. Even more amazing though was our Yr 7 boys team, who having beaten Tong on Tuesday, drew 2-2 with the unbeaten BBG and hopefully secured the final spot into their quarter finals.

Mr Sunderland and Mr Young are so proud to report our Yr 7 boys and girls beat Tong this afternoon. Our boys won 7-4 with Seb R the star player and our girls won 6-5 with Matilda C dominating. Our boys now play BBG with the chance to win the league on Thursday.

I am so proud to say our Yr 8 girls have become West Yorkshire state comprehensive badminton team champions. We competed brilliantly against the top grammar schools in West Yorkshire and won loads of points. Emily D was our player of the day.

We did it. Our Yr 9 boys won 8-1 against Beckfoot Upper Heaton. They were awesome. Alfie W was our player of the day.

Well that was a monsoon!! Our Yr9s lost 6-4 away at Beckfoot Thornton in the terrible conditions. We are proud of our boys though who came back from 5-1 down at half term. Jake MT was our player of the day.

This was a brilliant effort against a top team. We lost 2-0 to St Bedes Yr 9. They have been winning games by 8 or 9 goals but today they met our boys and found life much more difficult!! Louis was our captain and start player.

I am delighted to report a double win in badminton today. Our Key Stage 3 boys won 10-6 against their Ks3 boys and our Ks4 boys won 9-0. Mr Youngs son Jayden was the losing opposition captain!!! Arnie was the player of the day.

This is a local rugby playing opportunity for our Yr 7 students.

We are so proud of our Ethan Marsden whom has been selected to represent theGreat Britain Under 16s Ball Hockey team in Slovakia in June/July this year. Well done Ethan for everything you have achieved.

Our lunchtime badminton club was huge today. Great to see.

Well done to our brilliant rugby players training in the freezing temperatures this evening.

Well done to our Yr 10 rugby team playing in the Yorkshire cup against Castleford Academy. We came up against very tough opposition but we didn't give up and we scored a try! Oliver was player of the day.
