Pleasantly surprised by Quincy Square in Bremerton — a chill, pedestrian-only street that proves you don’t need to be a big city to dream big.

Every town deserves vibrant, people-first spaces to gather, shop, and celebrate local life.

CC is buried in the blue lines. It’s the one that goes diagonal & has the missing station label (Oops!)

Perhaps for right now… but that’s not going to remain the case for how long it’d take for this to get built 😂

I did my first ride on the new Beacon Hill bike lanes and dang what an improvement.

Cumberland & Doraville should be 5-10 min headways (peak to off-peak), but y’all get the spiel

edgewood-candler park station got a major art upgrade. 😍 anyone know who’s responsible for this?

Removed some of the extra transit lines for a simpler view of what serving more of Intown and Cumberland could look like 👀

Obviously all lines could be extended further. South Fulton, Hapeville -> Jonesboro -> Macon, Marietta, Alpharetta, Duluth, Six Flags…

-3min. headways Airport to Lindbergh
-10 minute headways from Doraville & Cumberland
-HCT alternatives to “West Midtown” gridlock
-Infill at Krog, Mechanicsville, Pershing Point, & Armour Yard
-Stations at various parks (Westside, Piedmont, South River, & the Chattahoochee)

Why the fuck are Alabama and broad not closed to car traffic, we could just use these streets as bus bays with dedicated signage for each route

Atlanta- we’re not going to miss underused vehicular lanes. We will miss people whose lives are altered due to unsafe infrastructure.

Seems like the Tech Parkway playbook would be perfect here.

I don’t hit many of these all that regularly or in both directions, since AAA routes are generally nicer, and there’s not really a set standard because I started making this on the fly years ago in Google Maps. But it’s something.

We really have! And lots of projects in the pipeline. Once the next wave of projects finish and we have another wave in queue, I will feel much better about things. That said, knowing the right routes now makes for some really nice, enjoyable routes around the city.

While I think the $$$ could have been better spent on other areas / communities still mostly dealing the negative externalities, I don’t think it’s the norm of what people broadly believe. Shiny coin syndrome & all.

In contrast, many East Asian cities, though most households also own private cars, have vibrant central districts thanks to the extensive development of convenient public transit. As a result, people still see the city center as a place for gathering and shopping. （3）

Suuuuuper limited overall

Especially as the densest past of Mechanicsville gets blocked in North / South at times due to trains stopped on the tracks.

Neither Metropolitan, Windsor, or Pryor are safe, inviting alternatives at their current state.

Providing a safe bypass from the train tracks is enough of a reason to get RDA done

I genuinely believe adjusting RDA would go down as one of Atlanta’s most transformative infrastructure projects. Arguably more so than The Stitch.

McDaniels- 2 lanes for widened sidewalks, bus stops, and protected cycle track.

Add in more trees!!!

Think of all the trees, greenspace, better sidewalks, protected bike lanes, & space for bus riders we could provide. RDA could be part busway!

Castleberry Hill: Peters & Walker Streets- widen sidewalks, create small gathering areas for pedestrians, & add protected cycle tracks.
