This song has a very specific memory for me. Over the air TV in North East Georgia in the ‘00s, late night ads on stations that were functionally shut down for the night but still running 30 minute long paid segments trying to sell country CDs, with Waylon and Willie and the boys.

Man the number of good cast iron Dutch ovens in there was crazy. We have one and I almost bought another.

It was our third stop in a hunt for pots for plants so at that point we were both kinda just vibing walking through stores and could just ignore the chaos and enjoy the weird.

Haha yeah but I can’t change the dew. I can easily change the whiskey.

He’s trying so hard to stay awake and celebrate international cat day. But those eyes keep creeping shut.

Yeah, a rye came to mind. But spiritually Dew should be drank with Tennessee whiskey (plus the Kirkland stuff is cheap to experiment with) so I went with this as a test. And since it’s proven not to be a complete bust I can now branch out and not just be angry if it goes wrong.

It’s a touch sweet but it’s really good. Might go with a less sweet whiskey next time.
