Here is my email to ZRB
To whom it may concern,
I am a resident of Kirkwood and NPU-O. I voted in favor of the above referenced project, twice. I have lived in Kirkwood and NPU-O for 15 years. I have seen the cost of housing continue to rise and price out the majority of the legacy residents.
Thank you!
30.01.2026 17:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok, so who is drafting articles of impeachment for Trump and Bondi, and how are you supporting them?
30.01.2026 17:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We did not properly punish the confederates. We did not properly punish the insurrectionists on January 6th. We have to punish ICE.
They canβt be allowed to slink back into their communities quietly. Expose them. Arrest them. Convict them. Imprison them.
And my dumb a** councilman (antonio lewis) wants to put these in southwest atlanta... it's always south of 20, never in buckhead or paces ferry. Why is that?
29.01.2026 13:50 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Important context: this supportive housing project was being developed by a historically black church in a gentrified neighborhood. This neighborhood vote was straight up institutional racism.
29.01.2026 14:08 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 2 π 0as democrats, if we want to get immigration numbers back up to a reasonable level, we're going to have to do more than just go back to "the way things were." we're going to have to provide a real, reliable, fast pathway to CITIZENSHIP.

Did the police seem to have any evidence for blaming the victim in this case? ββPreliminary investigation suggests the pedestrian suddenly darted out into the path of the vehicleββ sounds made-up.
10.01.2026 00:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0New: we've obtained material explaining how an ICE surveillance system, called Webloc, works. Draw shape on a map, see all phones available there, follow them home. All without warrant
βThis is a very dangerous tool in the hands of an out-of-control agency.β www.404media.co/inside-ices-...
PCC Streetcar 4606 in Kenosha, Wisconsin
If Kenosha, Wisconsin can build grassy tram tracks, so can your city.
Yes, this is an Atlanta subtweet.
There are plans for that slip lane to be removed entirely when the lane it turns into is converted to a cycle track.
But for now this is some bare fucking minimum infrastructure.
View of the intersection of two 4-lane roads from one corner. There are construction cones atop a concrete curb island between a slip lane and the rest of the intersection.
Aerial view of the same intersection before construction, showing a painted triangle where pedestrians could pause before or after crossing a slip lane
Itβs a Christmas miracle! There is finally (finally!) more than paint for pedestrians crossing the slip lane on Samβs Crossing in #DecaturGA!
26.12.2025 13:53 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0View east along SR-10 towards downtown Avondale Estates. Thereβs a multi use path next to a newly paved 3-lane road. It looks like thereβs some striping and landscaping left to do.
The same view as in the other picture, east towards downtown Avondale Estates, but a few years earlier. Thereβs a five-lane road, part with a narrow sidewalk and part with none at all.
Theyβve repaved the driveways, so in my view the #AvondaleEstates multi use path is substantially complete.
Itβs a monumental change in street character from the previous 5-lane without continuous sidewalks.
Did you know that for two centuries, noncitizen American men in every state participated in elections?
That was, until women and Black and Brown folk began demanding their right to vote, of course.
That and a lot more, in my essay for @austinlouisray.bsky.social's How I'd Fix Atlanta: (π§΅)
Itβs dispiriting to see how the U.S. is diverging from much of the developed world when it comes to noncitizen voting rights and many other areas downstream from a functioning, healthy democracy. But history is never settled and always evolving. Georgia is one of the few competitive states that has not taken an explicit stance on the future of noncitizen voting. Atlanta is the cradle of the Civil Rights movement. The best time to fight for our representation and a future we can not just imagine, but take part in, is right now.
How would @alexip718.com fix Atlanta?
Immigrants pay taxes, work hard, send their kids to public schools, and build better futures for their communities.
It's time to let them vote in local elections as well.

Figure titled βAlien Suffrage at the state level over the decades.β Shows six views of the US from 1700 to 1939. States allowing noncitizen voting peaked in the period labeled 1850-1899, with the majority of states allowing it, including GA.
Great article. I didnβt know the history around noncitizen voting.
