First #Amatsu treatment was on my birthday which synchronistically (synchronicity being a big word for magic) is the birthday of its founder/creator Masaaki Hatsumi Sensei, 94 last week. And he's a martial arts expert, writer & actor. We also share a penchant for purple hair. (website photo)

Got in the Christmas mood today despite intermittent pain (Amatsu working its wonders). Most of my international cards done for Canada & America. Decoration boxes out from under stairs, some window stuff done. Agatha Christmas on the couch with hot spiced punch.

I've also met and/or worked with psychiatrists such as Stan Grof and Ivor Brown who are/were critical of their profession. Do you always assume ignorance in the people you're addressing?

It will be jettisoned because it is not science & because of the harm it does. Clinical psychology is very different. A dear departed friend changed from psychiatry to clinical psychology, sickened by the cruel & unnecessary animal experimentation that was an intrinsic part of her study.

I was fortunate, didn't begin my medical emergency in the big hospital but rather in A & E of a small one. That said, it was 4 hours of pain before a doctor saw me & then rushed me to the big place for said scan. Happy ending: small hospital kept me a bed in High Dependency Unit, not a corridor.

Corridors lined with people, young & old, on trolleys, many with drips, shivering in the cold hallways, one thin blanket, no medics in sight. My darling ambulance man stopped to remove an old woman's shoes - she was pleading - and found her an extra blanket - she was freezing.
