New preprint alert! (1/5)🌟

I’m thrilled to share the preprint of my first first-authored PhD paper! We test whether shared reinforcement functions help explain why adolescents who engage in one self-destructive behavior often engage in others.

We show that individuals with anxiety symptoms respond slower to changes of context (event boundaries) and they segment contexts (events) more precisely. We also asked people about preferences and experience with context changes in everyday life, which correlated with both anxiety and segmentation!

Hi Chris, while we also found a WM + habit model could capture the learning phase in this task, it could not capture the test phase

(compare Supp. Fig. 6C to main text Fig. 3), whereas WM + RL could (as Anne also mentions in the discussion of her paper)
