I then ran through a selection of Spanish bottles at the bar, representing the Canaries, southern Catalunya, and Cantabria: Drago 5YO from Ron Aldea , Saboga Hiberum from Lehman , and Sherry Cask Rye 2024 from Siderit 😲

You can find their whisky, along with some special editions, at Edari in Bilbao 👍

Over in Barcelona, Fran at the Whiskiera introduced me to fascinating drams from Catador Itinerante, both cask strength bottlings from Beoger in Austria 🇦🇹

Diego and José introduced me to their Basque Moonshiners single malt, Agot. They use an intriguing mix of processes to make a dram which is improving with each batch, and the best-tasting Rioja casks I've yet found! 🍷
