I got a "three year price lock guarantee" email from Verizon a few months ago.

I just received my third "oh heads up this discount is going away soon" email since then.

They COULD just email me and tell me to go to hell instead.

My son, who was 7 at the time, bolted out of his seat and yelled "whoever decided to do this made a HORRIBLE DECISION!!" and I quickly had to calm him down and tell him another Avengers movie was coming out the following year.

I am glad and relieved to hear reviews like this. I hold the 1989 movie near and dear to my heart.

If you want a weird but true fact to talk about:

Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.

OK so at first I read this as "if I hit on you on my way home it's because I can't see" and I think that is much more funny

it was weird timing-wise too. KD was only going to take a 1+1 in 2016. If he opted out and re-signed again in 2017, maybe he's on a long enough deal that a trade becomes a possibility.

But yeah, Russ was also headed for free agency in 2017 and maybe he forces his way out. The multiverse is fun.

I’m legit torn between

“that team was going to break through in one or two seasons”

“KD didn’t have the leadership skills needed to lead a team to a title and Russ wasn’t emotionally stable enough to do it, either”

Side note: it’ll never, ever not blow my mind that the two later wound up as teammates and that Russ served as PatBev’s backup
