Glad I stayed awake until midnight (EST) to get mine! :D When I woke up seven hours later almost all sizes were out of stock, compared to most of my other favorite musicians Ada's stuff always *flies* off the shelves.

Not to complicate things further, but the series kinda peaked with Nioh 2, so ... maybe try that one first if it's available for a reasonable price. :D It's really one of those "Wow, they've improved *everything*!" sequels (but maybe watch a story summary of 1 beforehand).

Ich dachte, mein Plattenspieler – der eine extrem fummelige Nadel-/Gewichtskonfiguration hat, von der ich beim Kauf seinerzeit nichts ahnte – wäre kaputt, aber mit etwas Ausprobieren konnte ich besagte fummelige Konfiguration nun austarieren und die Longplayer springen nicht mehr. Ich lobe mich.

ngl "50 hour add-on I lowkey regret playing" sounds like a harsh description for something that's part of a series I genuinely like (and maintains *most* of its core strengths), but ... yeah, really not feeling this one.

The game's pivot to a (semi-)open world feels like a huge mistake in terms of replayability tbh, rushing through a tightly designed mission once more feels *way* better than re-doing an Ubisoft-style open world collectible checklist. You can *really* tell they were done with this series after 2.

Update: Game was alright. The sheer amount of recycled enemies *really* rubs me the wrong way. NG+ is quite lackluster so far, missions barely differ from their NG counterparts and THE big new gimmick is ... randomly respawning enemy gauntlets? Huh, okay.

I get not liking Suda 51/Grasshopper’s games but it’s hard to play Romeo Is A Dead Man and not feel a little embarrassed by the lack of ambition and creativity in a lot of games just visually.
