This was just so up my ally. All the scheeming, interesting magic and i loved the characters.
Realy something i would describe as romantic without being a romance.

there is a dnd warlock concept in this but it would probably require a lot of extra attention on the pact details and extra stuff in play which is not the greatest for a group game at times.

There is nothing I love more than stories about characters struggeling to rise in toxic systems of power with the goal of dismanteling them. Using power in the way it is expected of you vs. getting corrupted by the need to accumulate more power. you can't be a good person and rise to power...

9. Bat Eater
4/5 i enjoyed the horror parts of this and the setup. Esepcially the side characters. The Ending did not Land perfectly but i can see were it wanted to go. Overall an enjoyable horror read that did some things that felt unqiue.

8. Murder at the Black Cat Cafe
3/5 I usually don't really read crime but I had a good time with it. The mysteries were constructed in a compelling way but the characteres were basicly non existant. Felt more like a retelling of a crime case, strong focus on the case very light on characters.

2,5/5 This was just not for me. I hated the narrator-voice it felt so pretentious and it kinda felt like there wasn't a real plot to this. The character were cool but it just did not come together for me
