It's a good gateway drug to the real HW or C64U, i had the regular one in late 2018 and had HW a year later

Agreed, it is a pretty jacked system. I have the cart and it really took everything to the next level with my original HW

I assumed they were giving us real users a week or two window but they’re already at the top of that there’s only 4-5k of us that buy new stuff. If they advertise they can reach people who bought the mini (I think it sold a couple hundred k) I don’t think this will do that but maybe 40-50

I mean hopefully they didn’t assume the guys YouTube following would be enough to launch this thing.

It's a great computer, and it gets more C128 use out of it now than it did in its day when it was just a GO64 machine

Yup, it'll be a beast. I use JiffyDOS software rom replacement with my Ultimate cart and it makes loading super fast

JiffyDos + the REU + C64OS is an exceptional experience. C64OS does fast app switching by saving states into REU slices and JiffyDOS makes the initial loading take seconds

So if you have a bunch of pre existing C64 gear, it'll likely work with this, disk drives, tape deck, carts, Joysticks. If you don't have the old stuff then you can run it inside this w/USB, SD Cards or FTP prg's and d64's from your computer. It's modern and retro!

The haters drop off a lil each day but yes if it can maintain an 800-1000 per day pace things are looking up! Technically you can target the REU now, between the kff2 and ultimate cart theres already thousands of REU's in the wild compared to pre sonic era

When the announcement of the company coming back came out last month I was hoping they’d do this cause I’ve been mulling about a u64 for awhile and this made the decision easy and quite a bit cheaper than before

It’s three already existing products bundled together in a way that’s a few hundred less than buying them seperate

The cases have been out for awhile, the keyboard is new I think it got funded last year but also real and the computer is an ultimate64 . It’s just all bundled together. I ordered
