Team @immdef has spent all morning desperately searching for Juli, a mom of 3 US citizens who has lived in LA for 21 years. 3 nights ago Juli was on her way to work when she was forcibly taken at gunpoint by men who in a short call to family she described as “bounty hunters.” 🧵

Juli called family from blocked # last night & said she was initially taken with others from LA by bounty hunters to CBP near San Ysidro where officers demanded they sign papers to be deported. CBP said she was brought there because she had agreed to a voluntary deportation. When she & others in group asked for lawyers & to see a judge, CBP returned all who refused to sign to bounty hunters’ van. They were then taken by the unknown armed men to a warehouse in a remote, unknown location. She is still there. We can’t find her in online detainee locator Juli described to family that men & women are being held together in the remote warehouse. There are no beds, no blankets and no showers. There is no food and the only water source is the sink. Juli has not seen any uniformed ICE or CBP officers since arriving at the warehouse.

Per this lawyer, the mother of 3 US citizens, among others, has been abducted by “bounty hunters” at gunpoint, brought to CBP, where they demanded she sign deportation papers without seeing a judge.

When she refused, she was literally disappeared by the armed “bounty hunters” at the behest of CBP.

this is disturbing, but i’m enjoying thinking about a reverse situation where a Christian gets elected in a majority Muslim country and a bigoted legislator smears him by calling him “little Jesus”
