She's less amused about large spiders than I am.

It's a funky day with a funky vibe, but not the slap bass type.

We get a lot of vehicles that backfire around here, we have a lot of neighbors who love fireworks, but for the life of me I cannot figure out if those two options, or the dreaded third of gunfire.

It's currently hanging out in the snake plant on a shell.

Made pasta sauce last night kind of forgetting I didn't have my usual stash of vegetables other than a few peppers and an onion. I threw in some cauliflower just to add bulk, and hey, it isn't half bad.

Today's outdoor entertainment was observing a blue jay having an absolute fit trying to catch this caterpillar.
It was one of those events where every bird in the neighborhood was watching it go down.
After 20 minutes, jay finally claimed his prize.

I've smelled some truly horrible things today.

I understand depression dishes. It's hard to convince yourself to do the thing. You'll save yourself some heartache if you just give them a really good rinse.

My mom is a crazy cat lady. The house she bought when moving to Florida came equipped with a stash of strays. She's been doing what she can get everyone spayed and neutered, but it's been uphill with the more feral cats.
I came over to work on the water heater, end up finding two kids in the shed.

The Hungry Howie's version is good -- I don't feel it's a fair comparison to pit it against the local legend's version of the same, but it was quick and cheap and served the same purpose.

I was a big ol' scaredycat as a kid. The blinking red light on the smoke detector was horrifying in addition to a bunch of other things.
The keys arent as bad anymore, but still sometimes invoke a bit of discomfort, lol.

Not quite the same, but those wind up keys with the holes on either side --especially when animated as rotating-- freaked me out as a kid. I think they were one of the background enemies in a frustrating video game and it stuck, lol.

100°F is apparently a record-setting temperature here and today marks the day we set that record.

D e f i n i t e l y felt it all day.
Add that delightful humidity, and it really did feel like being a crawfish in a community crawfish boil.
