Skimmed through this over lunch & my only moan it that it is still pussyfooting about currency. There should be a new Scottish pound within a handful weeks of independence. How can it complain about Westminster rule but still be in hock to the Bank of England?

Well that's my reading sorted for the next few months. Isaac Asimov's best in machete reading order. I have read all but four at some point but all a long time ago. #asimov

I take it that was from the south? Got as far as the Falls of Tarf from the Linn of Dee, but yet to tackle it from Blair Atholl. Looks wonderful ๐

Not sure if they (the Greens) have updated that article since it was first published but there are now 2 or 3 candidates for most regions and only 3 regions have just one candidate. So no shortage of candidates if they do very well in the list vote.

Starmer, Sarwar, Prince Andrew, Mandelson, Rayner and Alexander resort to hiding following this week's revelations about their admiration of Epstein. Even the rats couldn't stand the smell of them.

Wow. I really need to visit Iceland, especially when there is still lots of snow about. I guess March would be a good time, combining snow & aurora?

A couple of snaps from that day. First is a view back to Inchrory & Glen Avon with the track to Corgaff catching the morning sun. Second is on Ben Avon's extensive plateau.

Yes, great day out - did pretty much exact same route (with MTB) back in 2012. If you want just a long MTB ride head east after Inchrory for the Linn of Avon & onto the bothy of Faindouran Logde (a bit over 50km in total)

Surely because UK corporate/tax regulations are so lax compared to most of the developed world?

To be clear I think PFP was truly extraordinary & above suspicion. But I think with such an extraordinary achievement it would be remiss of journalists not to ask awardard questions.
What I would like to know is did PFP know she could climb so well before she announced she would try to win the tour
12.08.2025 09:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0
Yes, but VPP didn't win the tour on his first attempt.

Same reason Simon Yates sat on during st 10 & van Aert during st 9 of the Giro. Apparently we are not allowed to call it wheel-sucking. An aspect of the sport I particularly dislike.
