I've been really nervous about New Jersey this whole cycle. Admittedly, I think Jack C. has run a superior campaign to Mikie. About as good a campaign an R can run here with Trump in office. A lot of the data seems to indicate we're probably good here, but I still need to see it before I breathe.

As a former poll worker in a very swingy town in NJ, this is very true. It felt like every shift I worked, the first 4-6 hours always felt like "Are there any Democrats living here anymore? Did they ALL VBM?" Then late afternoon thru evening, it would shift. GOP always eager to vote early.

A SSRS/CNN poll showing 61% people think Trump has gone too far using the power of the presidency and 57% think he's gone too far deporting immigrants.

People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

As someone in a very purple Jersey suburb, the 10-point leads did not match how I feel on the ground here. His campaign has admittedly been really good. If I was a non-ideological voter paying attention, I'd vote for him. Her campaign stinks. I think she'll still win by 2-3.

I live in a very purple suburn that is slightly blue usually. And Jack C. lawn signs outnumber hers like 10-to-1.

Yeah, I think it's going to be very close. Her campaign has been terrible. I think she ultimately wins by like 3 because it's probably just too good a cycle for Dems.

Ciattarelli has run a much better campaign. His ads don't present himself as Trump-aligned and make Sherrill look pretty bad. Her campaign has been terrible. Just basically "I flew helicopters in the military!" We're probably lucky that Jersey is still too blue and anti-Trump sentiment is rampant.
