Shax, a four-eyed demon bird with a vaguely heron-ish appearance from the Ars Goetia, is emoting excessively at something he seems to find delightful, although whether it's sincere joy or not is up for interpretation.

Conversely, here Shax is looking forlorn or overwhelmed for some reason, with a despondent expression and his arms crossed tightly over his chest in a defensive hug.
