Well let's trade Davante and Nakua to the Patriots and see what he does. It's a regular season award and Drake Maye had a better regular season than Stafford. They gave the mvp to Allen last year for doing more with less. Maye made the Superbowl with one of the worst offensive rosters in football

And in the playoffs he's played a top 5 defense every week. Drake Maye has played the same number of top 5 defenses in the playoffs as Stafford played all year and Stafford lost one of those games. I would hope Maye struggles against that kind of competition. What qb wouldn't struggle against that

Matthew Stafford is playing with two top 5 receivers and a top 5 runningback. Nakua was first in separation and Davante was 4th. Drake Maye had a better year with a significantly worse offensive roster, but still beat Stafford in several key metrics. This was a robbery. Plain and simple.

Stafford played with a better offensive line and running game with two top 5 receivers. Drake Maye led the league in sacks and didn't have a top 15 receiver. But Maye still beat Stafford in qbr, yards per attempt and completion percentage. Every advanced metric favored Maye.
