If this release happens to include an annoying regression, there might be a patch release already next week. If we are lucky and it doesn’t, then we aim for a 8.18.0 release in the early January 2026.

I saw an article written soon after they were introduced which gave the impression of wanting to find universal opposition. The conclusion hidden away at the bottom, was that people were in favour of them where they lived, but not where other people lived.

I will never not understand how a minority of people have decided that wind farms - significantly prettier than pylons, coal power plants, nuclear power plants, and almost certainly fusion power plants - are ugly. In terms of energy generation, what else are you hoping for that is better?
