So many to look forward to in S3: LofCC was my first of the Chrestomaci, Hexwood (of course!), Crown and Tough Guide... Also interested in your take on Black Maria, which despite several attempts over the years I have never managed to actually read all the way through...

My only thought about the shorts is the one with dreams with the "cast of thousands!!", and how that compares to DWJ use (and reuse) of a perhaps somewhat familiar set of character tropes.

@dmmdipodcast.bsky.social with regard to the latest bonus episode: Death of Sleep is a prequel to the Dinosaur Planet duology and the connected Planets Pirates books (with which it is usually grouped). It doesn't feel very "McCaffrey", though it is a solid enough book.

No tower practice, but still rang a QP of Pb8 in hand, plus some silly spliced on 6 before hand.

Redcliffe, Bristol Cathedral and St Stephens on the Welsh Colleges Dinner weekend tour. Good speeches, good food, good company this evening.

Grabbed the new 10 at Rochdale last night on their new 10 bell practice. C10, Y10 and S9, with LB10 and PH10 also. Nice bells, so much better than the old 8!

Good practice last night: Pb8, k8, s7, Y8, DNCBM, PH8 all in hand, then G7, S7, C6 and L6, is some rounds and calls on tower bells.

Miscalled a QP of pb6 in hand, but then the tower practice was quite fun: st Clements, double Oxford minor and a touch of g5.p
