Farthingstone church looks quite long, maybe as the tower is quite short. The picture is taken from the chancel end, and we can see a portion of the east window, an arched window in the side wall and a door. Then the nave, which is a little taller. There's a large window in the nave wall and then a south porch with some small square windos above it. The tower just peaks over the nave roof, with a black clock with gold numerals and a parapet. There are corner pinnacles and a weathervane. The consturciot is of a cream stone, with the chancel more golden in tone. There are considerable buttresses on the chance and at the junction of the nave.
The churchyard grass is cropped short and looks a little parched. The sky is theratening what might be much needed rain.

Farthingstone has a ring of 5 bells. They are 3 bells of 1633 and 2 of 1822. The heaviest weighs 306 kg They are hung anticlockwise and would be rung from the ground floor if ringing was allowed. The tuning of bells is odd, with the tenor being flat.

A modern church in light brown brick against a blue sky, just a few puffy white clouds. The church has a tower and about 2/3rds of the way up a set of lighter bands in brick, where the louvres are.
To the left of the tower is the church entrance, with a high canopy over it.
In front is a road and some cones and to the right what appears to be 2 people working, maybe dealing with the bushes that are between the church and the road, they have a green piece of machinery that I can't identify!

Image is of Peterborough Cathedral. A broad frontage with 3 arches and 2 towers either side. Ornately carved and with a projecting porch in the lower portion of the middle arch.
The green in front is not very evident. The sky is a deep blue and there are just a few wisps of cloud. The sun is shining and there are deep shadows in the arches.

Farthingstone church is viewed from the East end. There is a chancel and vestry facing us, in one a 3 light arched window, in the other traces in the wall of a rounded window frame, now with a square headed window inserted. Both ends have a similar pitched roof, there's a sotry here!
The tower is at the west end, and is visible over the roof of the vestry. It has square louvres and a crenelated parapet. The church appears built of a course limestone, which looks suitable rustic. The churchyard is well cut and hemmed in with trees, this is one of those churches it is hard to get a good view of. The sky is mostly puffy white/grey clouds, just the odd breaks of blue showing, but the sun is illuminating the east end and the photo is taken from shadow.

Farthinghoe church has a ring of 5 bells, that are unringable. Dating from between 1629 and 1722, they are hung anticlockwise and would be rung from the ground floor.
The frame the bells are hung in dates from ~ 1724, just after the last 2 bells were cast.

Eydon church is situated in a grove of trees, making it almost impossible to get far enough away form it and actually get a good view of it. The pollarded branches in the foreground of this image prove the point.
The photo is taken from the east end, with the chancel to the left of the image and the nave beyond it and the tower just peeking over the top. The chancel has a large 3 light window in the east end and 3 lights in the side wall. There's then a window in the east end of the nave, a wider part of the building with a slightly higher roof line and a much shallower pitch. There is a hint of a porch to the left. The tower just pokes above the nave, there is a crenelated parapet and square corner pinnacles.
The whole is built of an ironstone rubble, the tower does appear to be a paler and more finely cut stone. The sky is blue and the churchyard is a riot of greens.

Weldon church is built of a very pale, finely cut stone. There are lots of crenenlations. The tower is to the left, then there's a nave and side aisle to the right and a small porch on this side and the chancel at the far right, all of which have crenelations along their roof lines.
The tower, in contrast has a plan parapet and just plain pinnacles around a wooden lantern thingy on the top.
There are a lot of grave markers and the sky is mostly light grey clouds, with the odd splashes of blue. It feels like early evening.

Rushden Spire stands out well against the sky in this photo. Taken from the East end of the church, there's a chancel and side chapels, although the end wall is somewhat hidden by bushes and a tree. We can see parts of the large windows in the end wall.
The body is the church is not visible form here, we can see the side aisle sticking out to the left and the west end tower sticking up over the roof line. There are louvres visible, and pinnacles with arched supports to the tall tower. This has 3 sets of lights and carved balls (for want of a better description) running up the ridges.
The sky is blue with white puffy clouds.
The churchyard is green, and there are a lot of bushes and trees about, including some flowers, but the roses are not yet out.

King's Cliffe tower barely sticks its head up above the church. The nave has side aisle and clerestory, both with crenelated parapets. The east end is hidden by a trimmed yew tree. The tower is at the west end and is hardly any higher than the nave roof. There's a cold framed clock and a band of pale stone (or render) just above the church roof height. The tower is topped by a broached spire, in keeping with the tower it is a bit on the short side.
The sky i half blue, half puffy white cloud and the sun is behind the church, casting the side we see into shadow.

Nassington church appears almost white against the blue sky. The spire is tall and slender, with pinnacles around the top of the tower. We can see a set of louvres in the tower above the church roof. The clerestory consists of 5 windows and there are 2 larger windows visible in the wall of the aisle.
There is a beautiful magnolia tree in full bloom in front of the church. The tree at the left is bare and there's an evergreen to the right. It's one of those beautiful clear, crisp days.

There's a lot going on here! Exton church is pictured against a sky of heavy grey clouds with just flashes of blue. To the right of the picture is a large tree in leaf, and there are 2 trees beyond the church and to the left. The church is viewed from the East end, with the chancel towards us. There is a large 5 light window in the East end of the church. The nave is higher and shallower pitched than the chancel and has a protruding block (vestry? transept? and a porch just beyond.
The tower is at the fat=r end, but is tall compared to the church and quite ornate. The tower is square, with moulded buttresses, on the corners. There are 2 louvres in the sides we can see. Above this its gets even more exotic. There is a tapered edge as if of a parrapet, and 4 corner pinnacles that are octagonal and crenelated. These surround an octagonal form with windows in each side and crenelations again. Then there's an octagonal spire with pairs of lights in alternate sides. It really is quite something.
The whole is constructed of a fine stone, glowing golden in the slanting afternoon sun.

We are viewing Evenley church from the East end, there are 3 lancet windows in the end wall facing us. The chancel has a steeply pitched roof, while the nave is a fraction higher and has a much shallower pitch. There is a porch visible to the left and the tower is at the west end, mostly hidden by the body of the church. There is evidence of a square tower and a broached spire. The churchyard grass has fallen leaves, so this is an autumn picture, with white puffy clouds obscuring a blue sky.

It has been raining in this photo, the street is wet and the sky threatening. The church is on a slight rise and built of a dark grey stone. The tower is on the far side of the church in this picture, the nave end, a side aisle are nearer to us.

The picture of Ebbw Vale church is taken from a hill (or a drone) as we're at tower top height. The red brick church has a pitched roof to the nave facing us, a porch central on this face and 2 side aisles. The tower is to the right of the church and image. The square tower has a a set of large louvres, 4 pointed turrets and a clock in a pediment. There is then an octagonal grey slate roof tapering to a point
Behind is the green hills and blue sky of the welsh valley.
