As chair of LR-GAS (Linda Reynolds Grievance Appreciation Society) I regret to inform you all that our dear Linda's latest grievance - Grievance No 4,352 - has been dismissed by the NACC

Linda alleged the payment was corrupt or summat, and also she was never asked her opinion . . . I kid you not

Do You Grow Out of Autism? Autism has come full circle; from perceptions of the disability as lifelong, to beliefs of β€œgrowing out of it” and back again, all shaping how we support autistic individuals.

"You don’t grow out of autism; you grow into a world that isn’t ready." Only by acknowledging the full arc of autistic life can we create policies and programs that truly meet people where they are, writes @neuroscientist.bsky.social:

The Trump Administration’s War on Children The administration is quietly putting America’s children at risk by cutting funds and manpower for investigating child abuse, enforcing child support payments, providing child care and much more.

The staff of a program that helps millions of poor families keep the electricity on, in part so babies don’t die from extreme heat or cold, have all been fired.

The office overseeing the enforcement of child support payments nationally has been hollowed out.

An #autism "advocacy" organization does not speak for my child when:

- they put out a statement for World Autism Month that mentions NOTHING about acceptance

- they talk about inclusion but still advocate for segregated classrooms

- they have "treatment" in their mission statement

Why Recess Should Never Be Withheld as Punishment Experts argue that recess is necessary for a child's social and academic development, and skipping it as punishment for misbehavior or to accommodate more seat timeΒ is a serious mistake.

Taking recess away from autistic & ND as punishment for their meltdowns is a "Hell, no!"

Similarly, lack of EA support shouldn't be used as an excuse to withhold recess

They NEED that time
