Lastly, sound quality is significantly improved. Bass is boomier and more detailed, and there's a new emphasis on vocal clarity. Overall, the wider soundstage makes everything sound more immersive than it did on AirPods Pro 2.

Live Translation and heart-rate tracking both work well already. This isn't always the case, so I'm thrilled that I haven't run into any issues with either of those yet.

The ANC revamp touches a lot of other features. It's the basis for Live Translation and allows you to take the hearing test in slightly louder environments, as two examples.

A few brief comments on the new features. First, I'm still getting used to the fit. It's tighter and more secure than before, even after I switched to smaller ear tips.
