The Reds, the blues, golf, cycling, gambling, books and tunes. The good things in life.

A nice bit of 1988 would do as well.
'And now let me introduce you to the 4th captain of this 5 match series...'.

Wouldn't object to someone knocking me out with one right now.

05.12.2025 04:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ah man, Steve Cropper, that's sad.
He was just great.
My 2nd most listened to song on Spotify this year is by Gorillaz and I've never heard it in my life.
Listening age of 81 though so 50% success rate.
Well this is tremendous.

01.12.2025 20:11 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just a tad. And it's still there. The big knot in it should have been a clue.
Waiting on a call to see where I can go get it taken out.
If you find that the hospital have left some stitches in by mistake I can highly recommend not trying to remove them with tweezers at 3am.

Had the theme to the Gilmore Girls as my earworm for three days now.
Reckon I must have watched that series by osmosis twice now.
It's back on again.
My dad always says that this where the phrase 'and this is where we came in' comes from. Not sure of the veracity but see the logic.
26.11.2025 18:11 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 1Yep. People don't realise what a narrow set of circumstaces it applies to either. Just think that if you're not well you'll get it. Nope.
23.11.2025 15:57 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fuck. Really?
Trying to repeatedly justify myself would drive me mad.
Quite correct.
I'm only posting this to share in the joy of the Nicklaus family.
I would fucking love people to actually try and get PIP to see just how easy it really isn't.
Been putting off a second attempt cos I just can't be arsed with the whole thing.
The best thing about the TNT coverage (and of going partially deaf) is that I could barely hear the fucker.
Made it difficult for me to do the Jerusalem actions along with them in the living room though.
Morning.

Round the other side is better, they go right over your head as they land.
Went to bed at lunch expecting to wake up to a 250 England lead.
Lordy.
Absolutely not
3 months since I've enjoyed a pint or a glass of wine.
Cocktails are ok I presume cos of the sweetness but not like you can just reach for one when you want one. And I'd get laughed out of the pub if I tried it!
Bloody messed up tastebuds that won't let me enjoy anything normal!
Had a Duvel in the fridge and had to pour half of it away. Driving me mad.
Turns out a can of pina colada from Tesco doesn't conjure up the same feeling as a rooftop bar in Seville.
21.11.2025 20:45 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0First was an SS, don't think it was a Jumbo though. Then the GN. Can't remember if it was scooped or not. Only got rid of it recently as well.
Would never entertain G&M though cos the lad up the street had them and he was a prick.
Used to love going in sport shops and arseing about with them as a kid. The Slazenger V500 was the one I wanted but had a Gray til I stopped playing.
All my kit was DF though cos my nan's neighbour worked in the factory and got us a hefty discount.
Proper nostalgia this, ta!
You're right. The light on the sticker makes it look scooped but it was always lower down.
Well done for getting me all excited over cricket bats again for the first time in 30 years though.
