Would you recall Armstrong from Preston in January, or would you leave him there for the rest of the season? Heβs in outstanding form & Preston are having their best season for about 25 years. 4th in the Championship & right in the play off mix. Might help him develop having a full season there.

Recall. Thanks to my over spending on streaming subscriptions I've seen his last 2 games.
Without debate his recall would give us options.
For me... Bit if a litmus test on Moyes this.

Really appreciate the kind feedback we continue to get on these - online and in person.
Not really one to talk myself up, but reckon this is one of the best we've done. Loads to unpack and plenty of insight from the stadium from @paddyboyland.bsky.social.
Shares and thoughts welcome! #EFC

Thanks paddy. Completely agree.
Hate to use the "y" word but he and Tarky have the"Yipes". They need to get the bad Juju out of their boots.

Yikes. There should be an xG for passing, only when you miss an 8yd uncontested pass to a wide open player, you get a negative.
I imagine McNeils passing statsreflect that.

Completely agree and great article. I would add from my perspective the midfield subs have proven effective (mostly) this season. Just bring them in earlier.
Also, pass pct was 84% but for a 15m spell in the 2nd half we couldn't string 5 together. I wonder what it was just for the 2nd?

The Everton midfield, Moyesβ choices and an ongoing pursuit of control
A point at Sunderland is no cause for complaint, but there is still an edginess and restlessness around Everton as they strive for balance
So much focus on other areas that Everton's midfield has gone under the radar. Lost the arm wrestle last night & unable to re-establish control
Look short on physicality + players to manage games
Bench could provide at least some answers

Really great article @paddyboyland.bsky.social . Some great insights but really been wondering about the state of the academy.
Hope you're in line for a raise π. Legitimately the main reason I renew my subscription. Cheers.

Evertonβs academy is in transition. Is it on course to deliver βhomegrown superstarsβ?
The U18s' victory over Liverpool on Wednesday was the latest encouraging sign, but there is plenty of change going on behind the scenes
Senior Everton figures took in last night's 3-1 U18 derby win v Liverpool. #EFC also did double over rivals at this level last season
TFG want focus on homegrown talent - but who/what is coming through?

How Spurs bullied Pickford and Everton to dominate them at two crucial corners
Everton no longer have a set-piece coach of their own but their defensive record had been the best in the league - until Sunday
Prior to Sunday, Everton were the only PL side not to have conceded from a set piece this season
But Spurs exploited weaknesses in their zonal setup, targeting the back post & goalkeeper
A game decided by set pieces. But a one-off?

Evertonβs Harrison Armstrong has found a home away from home at Preston
The teenage midfielder has been thrust into the perfect environment to shine Itβs also one filled with familiar Everton faces
David Moyes was at Deepdale last night to watch Harrison Armstrong
18 yo has settled quickly at Preston, where there are many #EFC connections, and is already key midfield influence
Positive feedback on his play/maturity but more to come

Jordan Pickford signs four-year Everton contract extension to 2031
The 31-year-old has kept 91 clean sheets in 326 appearances for the Merseyside club since joining from Sunderland in 2017.
NEW: Jordan Pickford has signed a four-year contract extension. Negotiations, which started formally around a month ago, seamless
Idea, if all goes to plan, is that goalkeeper will see out his career with Everton
