I believe in trans rights, but I have to say that there are kind people who are genuinely concerned and have questions about womenβs safety. Itβs not wrong to have discussions with these people about hormones, scholarships and safety. Discussion is how people learn.
1) there is no such thing as a "kind" approach to bullying and traumatizing trans kids and women in sports
2) knock yourself out trying to reach and convert the pro-bullying crowd, but do it in PRIVATE.
Entertaining that bullshit in the public sphere legitimizes it

Very important point. Stay on top of your local elections, ESPECIALLY the school board.
You have proportionally far more impact in low-turnout elections. And if you can convince a few of your friends to vote, that can make a big difference.

Judaism: βWhat is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the whole Torah; the rest is commentary.β To claim condemning wrongdoing is βanti-Semiticβ is to claim Judaism would remain mute at & allow for horrific violence against others. I cannot imagine a more anti-Semitic idea than that.

One fascinating thing about the most self-serious newspaper in America with its staff of the winning journalistic meritocrats is that it routinely, institutionally publishes completely made-up bullshit speculation about pure abstractions, based on zero reporting, written as if it were plain facts

I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany.
But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025.

Two things can be true at the same time:
(1) taxing the rich is not a magic money machine.
(2) we absolutely have to tax them hard enough to prevent the consolidation of wealth and power that someone like Elon Musk has. Democracy's very survival depends on it.
